Dr. Choi: Dear J. Usually not. A successful cosmetic surgery enhances your looks naturally and often goes unnoticed. After a full recovery, your close freiends may ask you if you've been on vacation, or on a new diet and exercise regime but typically, they won't know unless you tell them.


S.Park: "I am in my early 30's, but I look 40 something because of the wrinkles around my eyes. Why is this? Would you recommend any treatment to resolve this problem?"

Dr. Choi: The eyes are the first place to show signs of aging. This is because the skin around your eyes is twice as thin as on the rest of your face. Luckily this problem can easily be helped from a simple Botox injection. By injecting a small dose of Botox into a specific muscle around your eyes, it temporarily disables the muscle which allows the wrinkles in that area to gradually disappear.


A. Garcia: "I've never had plastic surgery before. Will it hurt?"

Dr. Choi: Dear A, During a procedure, anesthesia ensures that you're comfortable and feel no pain. If general anesthesia is used, you'll even sleep through the entire operation. After surgery, any pain or discomfort you may experience can usually be controlled through medication and will usually subside within a matter of days.
